Egypt has so much more to offer than just archaeology. Located on the southern point of the Sinai Peninsula, Sharm el Sheikh continues to develop, offering Western tourists a host of clubs, restaurants and shops, alongside all the traditional trappings of a coastal resort. Sharm el Sheikh is well known for its world-famous dive spots, such as the Tiran and Ras Mohammed reefs, or more adventurous divers may prefer to participate in a dive safari, which avoids the crowds by pursuing reefs much further afield.
