Following the huge success of the Soho Grand Hotel, owners, Leonard and Emanuel Stern of Hartz Mountain Industries looked south to one of the most affluent residential neighborhoods in Manhattan, TriBeCa. Their keen forethought and pioneering vision led to a sister property, and in May 2000 the Tribeca Grand was unveiled.
The Tribeca Grand Hotel’s opening in 2000 established it as the first major hotel in an area home to boldface celebrities and a dynamic mix of restaurants, shops, financial institutions and thriving independent film companies.
Centrally located in one of Manhattan’s most unique and rapidly-evolving neighborhoods, the Tribeca Grand Hotel updates the mid-twentieth-century ideal of stylish, ultramodern travel for the millennium. Through a combination of eye-catching interiors, extensive technological amenities, and 24-hour guest services, it offers visitors an exclusive luxury lifestyle hotel experience.
The Tribeca Grand is located on the border of SoHo and TriBeCa, two of downtown’s most affluent residential neighborhoods, where cobblestone streets and historic cast iron buildings give way to the most exclusive boutiques, restaurants, and galleries. The Hotel’s triangular shape gives the property its inimitability, most evident in its interior’s soaring eight-story atrium. The expansive Church Lounge with low-lying furniture is an ideal place to lounge, meet, or work by day and the perfect place for cocktails with friends at night.
Rooms and suites feature flat-screen televisions, Sony Sound Docks, 24-hour concierge and 24-hour room service. Bed and bath linen are by Frette and toiletries by New York’s “Malin and Goetz”. Adding to the list of amenities offered, guests of the Tribeca Grand have access to the latest from Apple’s stylish line of digital lifestyle products; from iPads and iPods to a selection of rooms outfitted with fully loaded iMacs. The Hotel continues its pioneering vision with its private screening room and carefully curated film series, extending the neighborhoods leadership in film and emphasis on offering visitors a true slice of the TriBeCa lifestyle.
Parked almost exactly between New York City’s centers of finance and fashion lays the Tribeca Grand Hotel, in the popular Downtown area of the city usually called “below Canal”. Here visitors can quickly travel to Battery Park, Wall Street and such fun neighborhoods as Chinatown and Soho.
Tribeca Grand hotel is located at 2 Avenue Of The Americas and is convenient to all major transportation centers serving the city.
A boutique sized hotel with 203 rooms, the Tribeca Grand Hotel provides each visitor with a high tech assortment of in room electronics, top quality linens and toiletries and a full range of optional amenities, including access to iPods and bicycle rentals. Additionally most rooms have excellent city views.
A surprisingly open interior defines the Tribeca Grand Hotel, and its modern feel continues on into all of the public spaces and guest rooms throughout. Because the Tribeca neighborhood is home to New York’s film industry the interior takes its cue from the needs of the visitors who frequently stay in the hotel, and provides several lounges, screening rooms and even a rooftop terrace for special events.
The Tribeca Grand Hotel’s 201 guest rooms and suites are meticulously designed to reflect the residential luxury of downtown New York and provide the ideal retreat from city pursuits.
